Arsenal Ready To Accept Cut-Price Deal For Cesc Fabregas

Reports have surfaced that Arsenal are reluctantly ready to accept less than their own valuation from Barcelona for Cesc Fabregas.

The Gunners demanded a £40 million fee for the club captain but with the European champions unwilling to improve significantly on their initial £27m offer, and Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger admitting the player was unsettled, it now appears as if the club will have to broker a cut-price deal to move on.

The package is reported to include a downpayment of £27m, with an additional £5.2m in performance-based add-ons at a later stage.

There are also suggestions Fabregas is prepared to wave the £4m compensation he would be entitled to for the remainder of his long-term Arsenal contract, as technically the player never asked for a transfer.

Magazinele au scos la interval colecţiile noi, de primăvară-vară 2011. Culori calde, materiale înflorate, modele de ultimă oră şi… preţuri de-ţi taie respiraţia. E drept că obrazul subţire cu cheltuială se ţine, dar este oare drept ca românii să plătească mai mult pentru acelaşi produs doar pentru că-l cumpără din România şi nu din Spania, Marea Britanie, Bulgaria sau Statele Unite ale Americii?

Am făcut un tur virtual al magazinelor de firmă şi am constatat că aceeaşi pereche de sandale Zara costă la noi în ţară 359 de lei, iar în Marea Britanie 59,99 lire sterline, adică echivalentul a 293 lei, în Spania 59,95 euro, adică 252 lei, şi în Statele Unite ale Americii 99,9 dolari, adică 304 lei. La fel se întâmplă şi cu alte produse. Un tricou pe care îl cumpărăm din România cu 59 lei costă în Spania 9,95 euro, adică 41 lei. Cum se face că românii plătesc mai mult pentru acelaşi produs decât alţi clienţi din Europa şi chiar din Statele Unite ale Americii?

Apetenţa românilor pentru brand

Unul din motive ar putea fi costul transportului, dar este puţin probabil ca din Spania până în România transportul mărfurilor să coste mai mult decât până în Marea Britanie sau Statele Unite ale Americii. Apoi ar fi costul chiriei. Dar, la fel, nu se pot compara chiriile din mall-urile româneşti cu cele din Londra sau New York sau Madrid.

Însă este posibil ca strategia marilor branduri să aibă în vedere şi apetenţa românilor pentru tot ceea ce este de firmă. Faptul că românii au descoperit relativ recent branduri renumite şi le-au transformat în magazinele lor favorite de shopping este, probabil, speculat de managerii acestora. Prima lege a marketingului este aceea că cererea dictează preţurile, aşa că dacă un operator economic ştie că ar putea cere 100% mai mult pe un produs cu siguranţă o va face. De altfel, se pare că aceeaşi strategie se aplică şi în Rusia, unde preţurile sunt chiar mai mari decât la noi în ţară. Dar, este de înţeles, în Rusia sunt cei mai mulţi milionari în euro decât oriunde în lume.

In concluzie, noi cumparam mai scump decat in orice alt loc de pe pamant fiindca suntem o natie de IDIOTI cu o gandire superficiala care suntem in stare sa dam oricat pe o bucata de panza pe care scrie frumos “V..ace”, si nu conteaza daca nu avem ce baga in gura, important este ca suntem imbracati de firma…

Since 1993, two World Cup titles, four Copa America victories, and three Confederation’s Cup trophies are among the list of what Brazil has won over the past 17 years.

Current coach, Mano Menezes has essentially taken a different path than what ex coach Dunga had done with the Seleção. While Dunga relied on many veterans and fielded an older, counter-attacking team, Menezes has been putting together sides that have many players in their early 20s, some even in their teens. Recent lineups have included Ramires, Nilmar, Robinho and Dani Alves as “veterans.” The rest of the team include players that Menezes has coached from prior stints at Gremio and Corinthians and several other young rising stars that may not be ready for the Copa America relative to other players, but will have significant experience by the time the 2014 World Cup arrives.

Nowhere to be found, players like Maicon, Julio Cesar, Luis Fabiano, Lucio and Juan have yet to receive a call-up by the new head coach. But not Ronaldinho. Many view this as a probable going-away game for the 30-year old. Or perhaps it was a business decision to help get more TV rights and help boost attendance for this rivalry. The call-up of Ronaldinho is definitely inconsistent with the several other veterans that have been excluded in recent memory, but it will be nostalgic to see him don the yellow shirt once again.

From the perspective of many though, it is time to move on from Ronaldinho and let players like Coutinho, Hernanes, and Ganso run the midfield. Of these three, only Coutinho has been called up for this game. The rest of the midfield is comprised of several midfielders under 25 years old such as Lucas, Sandro, Ramires, Elias and Jucilei. Lucas and Ramires will start as the holding midfielders with Coutinho and Ronaldinho as the attacking midfielders.

In the defense, there are no major surprises, the newest addition to the squad is Manchester United’s Rafael. The starting backline will most likely be Dani Alves and Andre Santos on the flanks with David Luiz and Thiago Silva in the middle.

At the front of the attack, the forwards include Robinho, André and Neymar. Before his recent injury, Alexandre Pato was the most in-form striker at the National Team. Unfortunately a recent hamstring injury will prevent Pato from playing this week. Most likely, Robinho and Neymar will start up front.

The last trophy Argentina has won was the 1993 Copa America (Olympics do not count). Over the years, one could make the argument Argentina puts together one of the most entertaining sides to watch – unfortunately most entertaining does not always mean title-winning

With the upcoming Copa America in their backyard next summer, there is no margin for error, so Argentina will look to bring experienced players who have been around the block.

Sergio Batista has been put in charge after Maradona era. Despite the fact that Argentina has been known as a football factory for young talent, there are hardly any new faces on the team. Players like Burdisso, Heinze, Demichelis, Cambiasso, both Milito brothers and even legendary Javier Zanetti have been called up by Batista since the World Cup. All these players are either in their early 30′s or late 20′s and have begun to show that time is catching up to them. Zanetti is currently 37 and still is the best option Argentina has at the RB/LB position.

For the match against Brazil, do not be suprised to see Zanetti and Heinze as the fullbacks with Demichelis and possibly Burdisso anchoring the middle of the defense. , Walter Samuel recently went down for the rest of the season due to a serious knee injury. In his place, 22 year old Nicolás Otamendi was called up to replace him, but he has yet to make an impact with his new club, FC Porto.

In the midfield, there are no big surprises as we will see once again players like Mario Bolatti, Javier Mascherano, Andrés D’Alessandro, Ángel di Maria, Ever Banega and Javier Pastore. If Batista plays Pastore along with playmaker Banega and the ball-winning Mascherano, Argentina may have found the long term solution to the midfield problem that has existed since Juan Roman Riquelme left the international scene. Others players in the midfield include Jose Sosa, Lucas Biglia and Nicolás Gaitán. Do not expect to see too much from these three.

Mark Webber is currently second with 238 points and he will have to win the race and hope that Alonso finsih Lower than 2nd in the race, or putting it simply Webber must beat Alonso by nine points or eight if he wins race. Sebastian Vettel is on 3rd in the list and he won four races this season as well Malaysia, Europe, Japan and Braziling Grand Prix. Last But not the least we have a brit Driver Lewis hamilton who is third at the moment with 222 point and although highly unlikely but still have a chance to win the race.

Predictions: Fernando Alonso said in the recent interview that he is 100% sure that he will win the Drivers Championsip, but I am not sure about that as behind him are two team mates webber and Vettel who will have somthing to say about that as both are in with a shot to win the Drivers Championsip. Ajungem pe plaja, lucrurile par bune si frumoase, vreme buna, nisip bun, apa curata, curatenie, liniste (nu era muzica data la maxim sa ne sparga timpanele. Intindem cerceafurile si ne tolanim la soare. Nu trece mult timp si vine o persoana care ne roaga pe un ton rastit sa ne luam catrafusele si sa plecam de acolo in cazul in care nu vrem sa inchiriem unul dintre sezlongurile puse la dispozitie de ei, ca plaja e sub contract de concesiune si asa e regula. Am incercat sa ii explic pe un ton extrem de frumos ca stiu din surse sigure ca plaja este publica, si chiar daca au un contract de concesiune cu Apele Romane, acel contract il obliga pe el sa printre multe alte conditii sa lase liber nisipul si pentru turistii care nu doresc sa inchirieze acele sezlonguri sau nu doresc sa beneficieze de vreun serviciu pus la dispozitie de firma lor. Bineinteles ca nu ajungem la nici un rezultat, nici el nu vrea sa cedeze, nici eu nu vreau sa plec… asa ca ma duc intins la una din cosmeliile construite de ei pe plaja sa vorbesc cu patroana. Cum din cele peste 300 de sezlonguri nu erau ocupate decat vreu 20-25 i-am explicat dobitoacei ca daca ar lasa un pret de, sa zicem 5 ron, cu siguranta ar scoate mult mai mult, inzecit, decat scoate acum de pe cele 20-25 ocupate, bineinteles ca “managerul de plaja” nu intelege aceasta conditie simpla a economiei de pasa, ca ea face afaceri “made in Romania” gen imbogatire peste noapte in orice conditii sau situatii. Ce sa mai zicem ca nu elibera nimanui bonul fiscal pentru sezlonguri sau pentru bauturile de la bar…. tipic romanesc, jecmaneala cu orice pret si pentru oricine. Si ne mai miram ca Boc plange dupa bani la buget, pai daca ar incepe de aici stoparea evaziunii… Cum mie nu imi place sa fiu conditionat sau abuzat in vreun fel de catre nimeni, cu atat mai putin de aceasta proasta a satului, mi-am vazut de ale mele, respectiv de facut plaja, facut baie in mare etc, totul sub privirile pline de frustrare si ura a hipopotamului vorbitor de pe plaja din Eforie Nord.

Guus Hiddink is considering an offer from Ivory Coast to be their manager for the World Cup this summer.

The experienced manager is currently employed the Russian Football Federation but recently agreed a deal to take over as boss of Turkey when his contract expires in the summer.

Ivory Coast face a tough task in South Africa as they have been drawn in Group G with favourites Brazil as well as Portugal and North Korea, so they are looking for a top manager to lead a side which will feature some quality players including Didier Drogba and Kolo Toure.

Despite the tough group Ivory Coast the World Cup odds make them 10/11 to qualify for the knockout stages and the right manager could make all the difference.

Current manager Vahid Halilhodzic is under pressure after Ivory Coast disappointed in the recent African Nations Cup and he could be sacked despite the fact he is under contract until after the World Cup.

Drogba was managed by Hiddink during the Dutchman’s time at Stamford Bridge and it is reported the striker made a personal phone call to persuade his former boss to take the reins.

According to the Daily Mirror Hiddink said: “It’s true. I have the chance to take charge of Ivory Coast. Didier Drogba has asked me on behalf of the players. The board of the federation want it too.

“I can’t decide right now yet. A lot has happened in the last few weeks. I need to solve a few things step by step before I make a decision,” he added.

If Hiddink does take the job Ivory Coast might be able to upset the football odds and go on a good run.

Meanwhile, former Belgium manager Eric Gerets claims to have turned down the opportunity to lead Ivory Coast in the World Cup as he did not want to leave his role with Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal.

Could it be, however, that conventional science is just as mistaken as the Bible stories? There is a great deal of archeological evidence that the history of life on earth might be far different than what current geological and anthropological texts tell us. Consider these astonishing finds:

Fossils, as we learned in grade school, appear in rocks that were formed many thousands of years ago. Yet there are a number of fossils that just don't make geological or historical sense. A fossil of a human handprint, for example, was found in limestone estimated to be 110 million years old. What appears to be a fossilized human finger found in the Canadian Arctic also dates back 100 to 110 million years ago. And what appears to be the fossil of a human footprint, possibly wearing a sandal, was found near Delta, Utah in a shale deposit estimated to be 300 million to 600 million years old.

In 1938, an archeological expedition led by Dr. Chi Pu Tei into the Baian-Kara-Ula mountains of China made an astonishing discovery in some caves that had apparently been occupied by some ancient culture. Buried in the dust of ages on the cave floor were hundreds of stone disks. Measuring about nine inches in diameter, each had a circle cut into the center and was etched with a spiral groove, making it look for all the world like some ancient phonograph record some 10,000 to 12,000 years old. The spiral groove, it turns out, is actually composed of tiny hieroglyphics that tell the incredible story of spaceships from some distant world that crash-landed in the mountains. The ships were piloted by people who called themselves the Dropa, and the remains of whose descendents, possibly, were found in the cave.

In the 1930s, Dr. Javier Cabrera, a medical doctor, received a gift of a strange stone from a local farmer. Dr. Cabrera was so intrigued that he collected more than 1,100 of these andesite stones, which are estimated to be between 500 and 1,500 years old and have become known collectively as the Ica Stones. The stones bear etchings, many of which are sexually graphic (which was common to the culture); some picture idols and others depict such practices as open-heart surgery and brain transplants. The most astonishing etchings, however, clearly represent dinosaurs - brontosaurs, triceratops (see photo), stegosaurus and pterosaurs. While skeptics consider the Ica Stones a hoax, their authenticity has neither been proved or disproved.

A perplexing artifact was recovered by sponge-divers from a shipwreck in 1900 off the coast of Antikythera, a small island that lies northwest of Crete. The divers brought up from the wreck a great many marble and and bronze statues that had apparently been the ship's cargo. Among the findings was a hunk of corroded bronze that contained some kind of mechanism composed of many gears and wheels. Writing on the case indicated that it was made in 80 B.C., and many experts at first thought it was an astrolabe, an astronomer's tool. An x-ray of the mechanism, however, revealed it to be far more complex, containing a sophisticated system of differential gears. Gearing of this complexity was not known to exist until 1575! It is still unknown who constructed this amazing instrument 2,000 years ago or how the technology was lost.

Today batteries can be found in any grocery, drug, convenience and department store you come across. Well, here's a battery that's 2,000 years old! Known as the Baghdad Battery, this curiosity was found in the ruins of a Parthian village believed to date back to between 248 B.C. and 226 A.D. The device consists of a 5-1/2-inch high clay vessel inside of which was a copper cylinder held in place by asphalt, and inside of that was an oxidized iron rod. Experts who examined it concluded that the device needed only to be filled with an acid or alkaline liquid to produce an electric charge. It is believed that this ancient battery might have been used for electroplating objects with gold. If so, how was this technology lost... and the battery not rediscovered for another 1,800 years?

While mineral hunting in the mountains of California near Olancha during the winter of 1961, Wallace Lane, Virginia Maxey and Mike Mikesell found a rock, among many others, that they thought was a geode - a good addition for their gem shop. Upon cutting it open, however, Mikesell found an object inside that seemed to be made of white porcelain. In the center was a shaft of shiny metal. Experts estimated that, if this was a geode, it should have taken about 500,000 years for this fossil-encrusted nodule to form, yet the object inside was obviously of sophisticated human manufacture. Further investigation revealed that the porcelain was surround by a hexagonal casing, and an x-ray revealed a tiny spring at one end, like a spark plug. There's a bit of controversy around this artifact, as you can imagine. Some contend that the artifact was not inside a geode at all, but encased in hardened clay. The artifact itself has been identified by experts as a 1920s-era Champion spark plug. Unfortunately, the Coso Artifact has gone missing and cannot be thoroughly examined. Is there a natural explanation for it? Or was it found, as the discoverer claimed, inside a geode? If so, how could a 1920s sparkplug get inside a 500,000-year-old rock?

1. Sugar Gliders

The Sugar Glider is for those of you who think squirrels are adorable and would like to have one as a pet. The pet is actually not related to squirrel, however these small marsupials share many commonalities with flying squirrels. Sugar Gliders are also very social animals. Sugar gliders yearn for extensive attention from their human owners or need another sugar glider present as a companion. The Sugar Glider's diet is composed of high amounts of fruits, vegetables and some insects. This pet is for those who want to interact with a pet that enjoys consistent human interaction.

2. Chinchillas

Chinchillas resemble squirrel-mouse hybrids with enormous furry ears. As pets, Chinchillas are very docile and easy to keep and maintain. A drawback to the Chinchilla is that the pet can be hard at times to socialize and can be introverted. The animal prefers a quiet environment and strongly disfavors sudden movements, loud noises or extreme changes in its environment. A quirky aspect of the Chinchilla is that it prefers bathing with dust or sand as opposed to water. Chinchillas are also known to chew on a variety of objects, therefore many chewable items should be kept in the pets enclosure. The enclosure for the Chinchilla must be relatively large to provide this pet with the opportunity to roam. These animals are not noisy and almost odorless as a good alternative to gerbils or rats.

3. Ferrets

Ferrets are known as clever, affectionate and personable animals despite being criticized for their weasel like appearance. Their proponents claim them to be exceptional pets because of their high energy and interactivity with toys, balls and their environment. Though the animals spend the majority of their time in an enclosure, ferrets need to be released frequently for exercise. As the popularity of ferrets increases, many accessories have hit the market including pouches, leashes and custom clothing. Additionally if the animal is spayed or neutered and decantered, the smell of the animal is nearly eradicated.

4. Snakes

Snakes have long been an interest of pet owners. Snakes are best for people who are not seeking a fuzzy et to cuddle with, but would rather an enigmatic animal to appreciate. It should be noted that you must not mind that animal eating live mice or rats. Snakes however can be difficult pets similar to many other reptiles. Snakes require special heat lamps or heated rocks to maintain the body temperature of this cold blooded animal. Additionally, the specialized diet of the animal and difficulty finding quality veterinarian services can be challenging. However, if you remain undaunted by these challenges a snake may make an exceptional pet for you.

5. Guinea Pigs

The Hamster is generally a child's first pet, however a guinea pig may be the best choice for most. Guinea pigs are renowned as outgoing and affectionate pets that are very easy to take care of. The animal can live very well on simple pellet foods and enjoys are large enclosure or can even do well in an open sectioned off portion of the apartment. With enough space, a Guinea Pig can be trained to use a litter box. Guinea pigs can become very attached to their human caretakers and make a small squeaking sound at times. The guinea pig enjoys an active life and can make an exceptional apartment pet.

6. Rats

Rats are abhorred by many, however others discovery excellently clever companions. If its appearance and stereotypes don't dissuade you, the rat may be a good pet for you. Rats are extremely easy to care for. Rat enthusiasts applaud the pets increasing intelligence and often engage in games with their pets. Many creatures that we are familiar with are venomous or poisonous. Perhaps because they have not produced a large number of human fatalities we are not warned of their dangers. Nevertheless it is wise to know what these creatures are capable of doing. This is a list of the 10 animals you didn’t know were venomous or poisonous. They are in no particular order.

10. Cuttlefish

The cuttlefish is closely related to the squid and octopus. It has 10 arms covered with tiny suckers and at the base is their beak. This beak injects a fast acting venom which is not harmful to humans. The venom works by attacking the victim’s nervous system.

9. Hooded Pitohui

A songbird from New Guinea. Its skin as well as feathers contain a very powerful poison called: homobatrachotoxin. This is the same poison found in the South American dart frogs, although it is severely less toxic then the frogs and a whole bird would have to be eaten for any real harm to occur. The poison is transferred easily to humans by merely touching or handling the bird.

8. Duck-Billed Platypus

The male platypus has a spur located on the heel behind each leg. Their venom is not known to be deadly to humans. The venom is produced only by mature males and is most potent during mating season, leading some researches to believe that it is used primarily against competing males.

7. Gila Monster

The Gila Monster is one of only two known venomous lizards; it can be found in southwest USA and Mexico. The Gila Monster’s venomous bite is different than most animals, in that most of its teeth have grooves that conduct the flow of the poison. Also rather than an injecting bite, the venom flows from these grooves and is injected through chewing. They are rarely fatal to humans.

6. Centipede

The centipede is very common in the US. Its body is made up of up to 150 segments with a pair of legs for each segment. The head has long antennae and a pair of large claw like structures. These claws carry the venom glands. While centipedes are for the most part not fatal to humans, some of the large or giant species can be very dangerous to children.

5. Millipede

Closely related the centipede, some millipedes emit poisonous liquid secretions or hydrogen cyanide gas through microscopic pores on their body. Some of these substances are caustic and can burn the exoskeleton of ants and other insect predators, and the skin and eyes of larger predators.

4. Cone Snail

The cone snail’s harpoon is a modification of the radula, an organ in molluscs which acts as both tongue and teeth. The harpoon is hollow and barbed, and is attached to the tip of the radula inside the snail’s throat. When the snail detects a prey animal nearby, it turns its mouth - a long flexible tube called a proboscis - towards the prey. The harpoon is loaded with venom and, still attached to the radula, is fired from the proboscis into the prey by a powerful muscular contraction. The venom paralyzes small fish almost instantly. The snail then retracts the radula, drawing the subdued prey into the mouth. The cone snail’s bite is similar to a bee sting, but the larger species are responsible for 30 known cases of human death.

3. Slow Loris

The Slow Loris is one of the few mammals which is venomous. In addition, it is the only mammal which is both venomous and poisonous at the same time. Slow lorises produce a toxin on the inside of its elbows which it smears on its young to prevent them from being eaten. In addition it will lick these patches to put the poison in its mouth, giving it a venomous bite used for self defense.

2. Komodo Dragon

While they do not technically produce venom, their diet consists of pretty much anything dead and that creates a special mixture of deadly bacteria build up in their mouths. Their saliva contains more than 50 types of bacteria and 7 are highly septic and 4 have no known specific antidote. However, if treated with powerful antibiotics, it proves non-fatal to humans.

There are many types of coral and a few of these have toxic chemicals that are not fully researched yet. The most deadly coral is the Palythoa. It can kill a rabbit with only a 25 nanogram injection. To kill a human would only take 4 micrograms. Palytoxin is considered one of the most toxic organic poisons. Symptoms of palythoa poisoning include chest-pains, difficulty breathing, racing pulse and low-blood pressure. Death occurs within minutes, and there is no treatment.
